Current Facilities Projects which may impact University operations



All Buildings
Fire alarm, fire extinguisher and fire pump testing and maintenance.

Tuesday, July 2nd through Friday, August 28th
Licensed inspectors will be conducting annual inspections and testing of fire alarms, fire extinguishers and fire pumps in all University buildings. Uniformed inspectors from Fire Equipment Headquarters, Fire Protection Testing and Stuart White will need to enter all spaces on campus on these days.

Fire Protection Testing will be here next Friday, August 21, 2015, to test the fire pumps in Haas, Grasso, Pinney, Centennial, WS Campus Center, and VPA Building. There may be unpleasant odors due to the flushing of fire protection sprinklers in the referenced buildings.

FPT will be here to do the Quarterly Sprinkler Testing Tuesday, August 25, 2015, Wednesday, August 26, 2015, and Thursday, August 27, 2015.

Pruning of trees on the Midtown Campus.

Student Center Main Dining Room
Monday, July 20th through Monday, August 24th
Construction continues on the renovation of the main student dining facility. Demolition, construction and restorative work will take place over the next five weeks. Work may take place over weekends and overnight on an as needed basis.

Friday, August 21st through Wednesday, August 26th
The floor is being refinished. A water based product is being used to reduce odors, but it will not completely eliminate them. There may be times during the day where noise and disruptions may take place.
