Graduate Commencement 2008

Master's & Doctoral Degree Candidates

Degrees Conferred: January 2008, May 2008 or August 2008

Celebrate your commencement with family and friends at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, in the Stephen Feldman Arena, William A. O'Neill Athletic and Convocation Center, Westside campus. Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal will be the keynote speaker. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony. Join your classmates and professors for this day of special activities

Students wishing to graduate must apply for graduation. Applications for a degree must be filed in the Graduate Studies Office. You may download a copy here

We are also requesting that students complete the Commencement RSVP form.

Academic Regalia Information

All participants in the academic procession are required to wear academic regalia.

Stole of Gratitude

The WCSU Stole of Gratitude offers an opportunity to say, "Thanks for helping me succeed." The Stole of Gratitude is worn by the graduate during the commencement ceremony. The new graduate presents the stole to its designated recipient immediately following the ceremony or on another suitable occasion.

Graduate students may pick up their academic regalia the week of May 12 - 15 as follows:

Monday - Wednesday, May 12 - 14, 2008
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, May 15, 2008
9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Midtown campus

If you are unable to pick up your regalia, please ask a friend or family member to do it for you. Due to space limitations, regalia will not be available on the day of Commencement.
