The first Spring 2019 Midtown Coffeehouse in the Colonial Corner is scheduled for Thursday, January 24!
Bluegrass and Beyond
We are glad to announce that we will be opening the Spring semester at the Midtown Coffeehouse with Bluegrass and Beyond. Four musicians, four very different stories, one heart for Bluegrass. This night was born when Charlie Widmer of the neo-soul hop band Sub-Urban approached Austin Scelzo, bluegrass fiddle player of the Angry O’Haras, about the idea of exploring the genre. Joining the two are Hector Jamal Ares of Sub-Urban and Tales of Joy on bass and Nashville-bound Tom Polizzi on Mandolin. Pulling inspiration form artists like Michael Daves, Sam Bush, and Chris Thile of the Punch Brother, Bluegrass and Beyond is bound to be a night full of excitement.
Please come out to enjoy great music and light, complimentary refreshments. Open Mic begins at 8 p.m. and this night goes until 10 p.m! Sign-ups start at 7:30 p.m.
So come check out the semester’s first Coffeehouse on Thursday night, January 24, 2019. Have a good time enjoying light refreshments and great music!!!
