Message from the
Co-Chairs

We've talked about, planned for it, and dreamed about it. And now, it's finally here. WestConn's first 100 years!

The Centennial is a time for many things--reflection, planning, and setting new goals. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the countless contributions made by our faculty, staff, students and alumni to our university, region, state and nation. Our journey began as a teacher-training normal school in 1903. Today, we are a comprehensive university, with alumni who serve their communities as educators, artists, health care professionals, volunteers, and at all levels of business and industry.

In this our centennial year, let us rededicate ourselves to the continuation of these achievements and to WestConn by celebrating the rich history and tradition that is the essence of WestConn.

We hope you will join us on campus for the Kick Off Celebration on September 14 and other special events planned throughout the centennial year. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
