Important Information for Part-Time Students

On June 11, 2009, the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University System approved a change in the way you are charged for courses as a part-time student in the Fall and Spring semesters. This change started in the Fall 2009 semester. Previously, you were charged a per-credit-hour Extension Fee (Course Fee) for your courses.

You are now charged a Part-Time Tuition and a Part-Time General University Fee; each of these will be charged per credit hour. The total of these two charges will equal the FY2009-10 per-credit-hour Extension Fee (Course Fee) charge that you were previously charged. You will continue to be charged a Registration Fee.

YOUR TOTAL PER-CREDIT CHARGE WILL NOT CHANGE.

NOTE: If you receive tuition reimbursement through your employer or other third party, you may want to inquire about what charges are covered under their respective reimbursement policies.

You should be sure to pay your bill by the due date, even if you have not received a restated bill.

If you have any questions, please contact the Bursar’s Office.
