MFA Mission
The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Arts is a terminal degree and is the preferred degree for the practicing artist who is preparing for a professional career in the visual arts. The objective of the program is to strengthen the development of each individual artist by providing a period of consistent, focused studio practice under the guidance of established professionals. Student work is evaluated through a series of individual and group critiques with resident faculty and visiting artists. MFA degrees are available in painting and in illustration.
