2023 Alumni Scholarships

The Alumni Association awards several scholarships to undergraduate students who have earned at least 24 credits and have a GPA of at least 3.5 at time of application. In order to receive the full scholarship, the applicant must be registered as a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credits each semester the scholarship is awarded.

Please Note: All scholarship application forms may be accessed electronically (using Adobe Acrobat Reader), but must be printed, completed, and submitted to the Alumni Office, located in University Hall (UH001), in person or by mail: WCSU Alumni Office, 181 White Street, Danbury, CT 06810.

The 2023 deadline for submission is Friday, April 14th. Watch your WCSU email for your invitation to submit.

May Sherwood Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the Alumni Association to a junior student entering his/her senior year and majoring in Education. This award is based on academic achievement. Applicants must complete the application process and meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

Criteria:

  • Current junior student entering senior year
  • Majoring in Education
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Must have completed a minimum of 90 credits at the time of application
  • Must be enrolled with 12 credits for each semester that the scholarship is awarded

Eileen Coladarci Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the Alumni Association to an undergraduate in any major. It is based on academic achievement and university/community involvement.  Applicants must complete the application process and meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

Criteria: 

  • Current undergraduate student
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Any major
  • Must have completed a minimum of 24 credits at the time of application
  • Must be a full-time student registered for a minimum of 12 credits each semester that the scholarship is awarded

Neil Wagner Scholarship Award

This scholarship is awarded by the Alumni Association to junior students entering his/her senior year. This award is based on academic achievement, university / community involvement and enthusiastic support of the university. Applicants must complete the application process and meet the following criteria in order to be considered.

Criteria:

  • Current junior entering the senior year
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Any major
  • Must have completed a minimum of 90 credits at time of application
  • Must be enrolled with 12 credits for each semester that the scholarship is awarded
