LETTER OF AGREEMENT

SPECIALIZED WORKLOAD ASSIGNMENT

 WCSU- Department of Mathematics

for

The Mathematics/Computer Science Clinic

 

 

For the life of the August 20, 1993 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors and the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut State University, the parties agree that pursuant to Article 10.4 of said agreement, the following instructional activities shall receive the load credit indicated.

 

(1) A member shall serve as coordinator and shall be assigned (3-9) load credit hours per academic year by the Dean of Arts & Sciences after consultation with the Department Chair. The duties shall include: (a) service to students, (b) assisting with selection of staff, (c) coordinating, supervising, and scheduling staff assignments, (d) maintaining and announcing laboratory and staff schedules, (e) compiling, maintaining, and filing reports.

 

(2) Any other member accepting an assignment in the Clinic may receive one (1) load credit for every forty-five (45) hours of work.

 

(3) In addition to the coordinator, each semester a minimum of three (3) load credit hours shall be assigned by the Dean of Arts and Sciences in consultation with the Department Chair for help in the area of Math and three (3) load credit hours for help in the area of Computer Science to staff the Mathematics/Computer Science Clinic. Assistance may include faculty, lab technicians, university assistants, graduate assistants or student assistants.
