Open House, November 2nd, 10:00-1:00, Feldman Arena at the O'Neill Center.


U.S. Army veteran and award-winning poet Brian Turner will read from his work at 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall on the WCSU Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Turner's book of poems, "Here, Bullet" was the first significant book by a veteran of the Iraq war, and his new memoir, "My Life as a Foreign Country," is based on his war experiences. Following the reading, Turner will lead a poetry workshop for a limited number of WCSU students. The reading will be free and open to the public; the workshop is for pre-registered WCSU students only. In order to register for the workshop, students should send an email to
