General Education Requirements

Courses which satisfy general education requirements are noted here. Independent studies, student developed studies, internships, practicums, etc. may not be used to meet general education requirements unless specifically approved by the department that offers them.

Many departments prescribe some specific general education courses in addition to required major courses. Students selecting courses to fulfill general education requirements in a program should check the requirements of their chosen major to determine which general education courses must be taken.
