Welcome Week begins Sunday, August 26th! Welcome to Western Connecticut State University's Welcome Week Website. Location: Great Hollow Wilderness Adventure Orientation
Please check out our new program at Great Hollow Wilderness School in New Fairfield, CT. Our day-long program on Saturday, August 25, 2012 will introduce new students to a wide range of outdoor activities and help you bond with classmates, as well as meet and talk about making the transition from high school to college with some of WestConn's outstanding faculty, academic advisors, and staff. Activities will allow you an opportunity to build self-confidence and develop interpersonal skills that will get you ready for your first semester at WestConn. Hurry! This great program is limited to 50 students so check out the website and get your registration in as soon as possible. This year we are introducing a new feature. All students pick
one of the following activities: Great Hollow Registration Form Registration for the Great Hollow Program is on a first come, first serve
basis. The $50 fee for participating is due in two installments.
A $25 non-refundable deposit (check made out to WCSU) is due as soon as
possible to reserve your spot. The balance of $25 is due on the day of
the program.

What do I do if I missed June Orientation and need to If you missed June Orientation but were already accepted by the university, your information packet and class schedule will be sent to you in the mail. If you are just now being accepted by the university, please make an appointment with the Advisement Center at (203) 837-8397 to register, and then get your ID, parking decal, and computer accounts on your own schedule. Our offices are open Monday through Friday all summer long. The computer centers are even open on the weekends and some evenings. Check the individual web pages for office hours or contact the Admissions Office at 203-837-9000 with questions regarding your status. What about my parents? Welcome Week is geared mostly towards students to make them feel welcome and comfortable with their new surroundings. However, there will be activities for parents on Sunday, August 26th, such as the Alumni Legacy Photo (if one or both parents are alumni), the �Entering the Gates� ceremony, the �Opening Ceremony,� and parent workshops. There is also a dinner for students and families that night. New students will eat for free, parents will be asked to pay $8; siblings 12 and under pay $6.
