SGA Presidents Reunion

The WCSU Student Government Association is hosting a reunion for all former SGA presidents. Enjoy brunch, conversation and a personal tour of the new Student Government Association office suite. Attendees are invited to attend the Homecoming festivities on the Westside campus immediately following the reunion activities.

ONE DAY UNIVERSITY

Alumni, students, parents and families are invited to attend presentations delivered by WCSU faculty.

Session 1: 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., WCSU Honors Program, presented by Dr. Chris Kukk and honors students.

Session 2: 12 to 12:45 p.m., Sports Psychology in Intercollegiate Athletics, presented by Dr. Shane Murphy.
Dr. Murphy is chair and professor of Psychology at Western Connecticut State University, where he teaches sport and performance, and health psychology. He formerly served as head of the United States Olympic Committee's Sport Psychology Department.

Theatre Production: Two Nights Near Doolin

Alumni, students, parents and families are invited to attend the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts production: Two Nights Near Doolin, an original play by Louisa Burns-Bisogno, directed by Pam McDaniel, Associate Professor and Chair of the WCSU Department of Theatre Arts.

12 & 8 p.m., Reimold Theatre, Berkshire Hall, WCSU Midtown campus. Open to the public. Cost: free for WCSU students, general admission $20, seniors and non-WCSU students $15, and faculty and staff $10. Plonia Nixon: A Retrospective (Art Viewing)

The Gallery at Higgins Hall is pleased to announce the Retrospective Exhibition of Plonia Nixon, a Department of Art faculty member since 1981. The exhibit will feature over 40 years of work spanning a range of styles and media including, drawings, paintings, pastels and collage.

Homecoming Tailgating

Gather with friends and former classmates for a tailgating party prior to the Homecoming football game. Please read the university's Tailgating Rules and Regulations. Alumni groups wishing to set up a tent at tailgating or who have other special requests, please call the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 837-8298.

Alumni Hospitality Tent

Join alumni and friends for some good cheer, music and Karaoke at this traditional Homecoming favorite!

2 to 5 p.m., Alumni Hospitality Tent (across from the Westside Athletic Stadium), WCSU Westside campus.
Open to alumni, faculty, staff, parents and students (must be 21 years and older to consume alcohol). Admission to the tent is free. Beverages costs are: soda/water free, beer $1, wine $2. Sponsored by the WCSU Alumni Association.
 

Kids Activity Tent

Don't leave the kids at home. There are many activities for the little ones including a bouncy house, caricaturist and kids craft area.

2 to 5 p.m., Kids Activity Tent next to the Alumni Hospitality Tent (across from the Westside Athletic Stadium), WCSU Westside campus. Free and open to children of alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the WCSU Alumni Association.

Alumni Business Showcase

Are you a WCSU alumnus who owns your own business? Let the WCSU Alumni Association help you showcase your business to the thousands of alumni, students, parents, families and friends who attend Homecoming Day. You will be allocated space near the Alumni Hospitality Tent. There is no charge to participate in this event. It is an excellent opportunity for us to learn what our alumni business owners are up to and for you to advertise your business. 3rd Annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off Competition

Everyone's a judge! Student Clubs will compete for the title of Chili Cook-Off Champion. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded.

Homecoming BBQ

Join the university community at this Homecoming feast. Menu includes: BBQ ribs, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, southern greens, sweet potato casserole, coleslaw, cornbread, hummingbird cupcakes, sweet potato cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, pecan pie cupcakes, warm apple cider, sweet tea, coffee and decaf.

Class of 1963 Golden Reunion Celebration

Take a trip down memory lane with the class of 1961 as they celebrate their 50th class reunion.

6:30 p.m. cocktail-jazz hour / 7:30 p.m. dinner, Westside Classroom Building Room 218, WCSU Westside campus.
