Student-Alumni Mentoring Program
As a WestConn alum you have accomplishments and experience that could help guide our current students on their own “road to success”.
We would like to invite you to participate in the Student-Alumni Mentoring Program at WestConn. The goal of this initiative is to provide students with the opportunity to connect with alumni who work in diverse areas of the working world. We are looking for alumni who are willing to offer career guidance and advice to students about the choices and opportunities available and impart to students what has made you successful.
Alumni mentors can decide the level of participation they feel comfortable providing. While some mentors feel comfortable meeting with a student and providing assistance in person, others may decide that e-mail or phone correspondence works best for them. Some mentors may wish to invite a student to shadow them on the job, while others may be willing to look over resumes and cover letters. Your level of participation is completely up to you. The bottom line is that you will be providing the benefit of your experience to students preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce.
May we count on you for your support? Consider sharing what you've learned by helping fellow WestConn students on their road to accomplishing their professional goals.
Please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name and contact information in the body of your e-mail so that we may e-mail you with further information and instructions on registering to be a WestConn Mentor.
We thank you for your consideration and look forward to your response.
