Mission Statement
The Orientation Program at Western Connecticut State University is designed to provide incoming students, and their families, with a set of common shared experiences and information, to set the tone for student academic success, personal growth and meaningful connections. With this in mind, the Orientation is dedicated to facilitating the students’ transition to university life.
To achieve our Mission, the Orientation Program at Western Connecticut State University provides the opportunity to:
- Explain academic expectations and begin the acculturation process to the university environment
- Develop a sense of belonging within the university community
- Identify support services dedicated to student achievement
