Housing Deposits are due.

You will not be able to participate in the Room Selection Process if your Housing Deposit is not made or received by March 31, 2013.  No exceptions and/or extensions will be granted.

●  Make sure your bills are paid in full so that the deposit is appropriately credited as

    a deposit rather than paying off an outstanding bill. 

●  Think about in what building and with whom you'd like to live.

●  Make sure that the people you want to live with are getting their deposits paid on

    time.

Deadline to Register for Classes (and still participate in Room Selection.

Registration for Fall 2013 classes with a minimum of 12 credits is required to participate in room selection.  Students must be registered for full time credits, and maintain full time status, to remain in their Housing assignment.  Students who register after the deadline may be eligible to be assigned a space by Housing after the selection process is complete.  Exceptions and/or extensions will not be granted. Students whose major prevents them from registering by the deadline MUST fill out and have their department chair sign a Registration Waiver.  This waiver MUST be handed in with the Pre-Registration Packet.

●  Remember these facts when putting your packets together:

     - To live in Pinney, you must be at least 21 years old or have completed 57 credits

     by the end of the spring semester -- and so must everyone else in your packet. 

     Complete packets for Pinney need 5 people (2 in the A bedroom, 1 in the B

     bedroom - which has a higher charge - and 2 in the C bedroom).

     - To live in Grasso, you must be at least 20 years old or have completed 24

     credits by the end of the spring semester -- and so must everyone else in your

     packet.  Complete packets for Grasso need 4 people (2 in the A bedroom and 2

     in the B bedroom)

     - To live in Centennial, you must be at least 19 years old or have completed 9

     credits by the end of the spring semester -- and so must everyone else in your

     packet.  Complete packets in Centennial need 4 people (2 in the A bedroom, 2 in

     the B bedroom.

●  Check your email for all the forms you need (your personalized application,

     especially!)

Housing Selection Group Pre-Registration Forms

Due by 4:00 pm

Groups (or individuals going through selection by themselves) must pre-register for the selection process.  All members of the group must be eligible to select a room, and the group needs to submit one completed Pre-Registration Packet.  Preference will be given to groups wishing to fill an entire room, suite, or apartment.  Pre-Registration will not be accepted after 4 pm.

All members of the group must be eligible for the selection process to be considered a completed group, so make sure everyone has everything in order prior to Pre-Registration!

ONE completed Pre-Registration Packet must be submitted and have a Group Registration Form and an individual Application and Contract from each member of the group.  If a member of the group is not registered for 12 credits and/or have completed waivers, the packet will be rejected. 

●  Pick a group leader (and secondary group leader who has a different schedule)

●  Gather all the paperwork that you will need to hand in a complete packet

Group Leaders will be notified of Room Selection Appointment

Group leaders will be e-mailed and given the time and date of their group’s selection appointment to ONLY their WCSU Email Address.  Only the group leader (or secondary leader) is required to attend the selection appointment. Make sure your Group Leaders check their WCSU Email!

●  Wait patiently, knowing you're almost done! 

●  Make sure your group leader is checking email so your group knows when the

    appointment is.

Group Selection --

Assigned Times Only

Group leaders will have five (5) minutes to select a room.  All selections are final.  Neither individuals nor groups will be able to change their spaces once the selection is made.  If the group leader cannot attend the selection appointment, the secondary group leader is to attend instead.  The secondary group leader should not have the same schedule as the group leader.  DO NOT SKIP CLASSES!!!

Individual appointments for each group will be scheduled during the following times:

4/24      9 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4 pm      Pinney Hall Conference Center

4/25      9 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4 pm      Pinney Hall Conference Center

4/26      9 am - 12 pm; 1 pm - 4 pm      Pinney Hall Conference Center

●  You'll start in the Pinney Lobby, which you enter from the main Pinney

     doors.  Posted around the lounge will be floor plans which show open spaces.

●  Your group leader will be called to select a room, suite, or apartment in the buildings you're qualified for.

●  Once your group leader has selected a room, the assignment is made on the

     paperwork, and it is handed to HRL staff to be entered into Banner, the university

     student database.  Your work is done!

●   If you miss  these times your group will not be permitted to select a room, but will  be placed in a space by the HRL staff if space is available.  PLEASE NOTE:  your group may have to be split up if this is the case, based on spaces available.

Partial Groups or Individual Selection --

Partial groups will have five (5) minutes to select a room.  All selections are final.  Partial groups or individuals will not be able to change their spaces once the selection is made. ALL members of partial groups must attend their assigned appointments to select a room.  If an individual or member of a partial group cannot make the assigned appointment, a PROXY form should be filled out.  DO NOT SKIP CLASSES!!

Partial groups and individual appointments will be scheduled during the following times:
