CORROGATED WORLDS: THE WORK OF JAMES GRASHOW

The Visual & Performing Arts Center (VPAC) is pleased to announce the opening of their new Art Gallery with the works of James Grashow. Grashow is a renowned sculptor and woodcut artist known for his large-scale installations and delicate menageries constructed out of cardboard. TAKE BACK THE NIGHT:

The Women's Center of Greater Danbury and the Delta Gamma Phi sorority will hold a "Take Back the Night" event to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence at 8 p.m. in Warner Hall on the university's Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The program will include guest speakers, followed by a candlelight ceremony. The public is invited. For more information, send an email to namey001@connect.wcsu.edu.

CARDBOARD CANOE RACES

7 to 10 p.m. (build from 7-8:30 p.m., Race from 9:00-10:00 p.m.), O'Neill Center, WCSU Westside campus. Free and open to WCSU students only. Prizes will be awarded. Sponsored by the WCSU Recreation Council.
