WCSU POLICE SERGEANT ATTENDS ELITE FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY

Campus safety is something the Western Connecticut State University Police Department takes seriously, and one way to keep crime at bay is to make sure the university's officers are trained in the most current crime-prevention techniques. WCSU RECEIVES ACCREDITATION RENEWAL FROM NEASC

Western Connecticut State University has received notification from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) that the association’s Commission on Institutions of Higher Education has approved the renewal of Western’s accreditation certifying that the university remains in compliance with NEASC’s rigorous standards. In a letter dated June 4, 2014, Commission Chair Jean Wyld informed WCSU President James Schmotter of the action taken on April 25 to continue the university’s accreditation. . ... [read more]
